4、n Jin Dynasty Dowling also gave another kind explanation of “Random” . However, the interpretation of “Random”of Dowling is just a kind of spiritual liberation and what he said has nothing to do with the pursuit of Chuan

5、g-tzu. After a long period of Song Dynasty, Neo Confucianism became the mainstream of ideology and culture. Some scholars, including Lin Xiyi, Lu Xixing, regard Chuang-tzu's “Random”as “Kong Yan le” of the Neo Confuc

6、ianism and their explanation is just a simple analogy. In the contemporary research, there are various academic views on the interpretation of Chuang-tzu's “Random” . Among the contemporary explanations, the most inf

7、luential is the theory of “spiritual freedom”. Since the explanation of “Spirit of freedom” insist subject of “Random” is personal spirit, such an explanation is just the continuation of Dowling’ s. In recent years, Mr.

8、Xie Yangju and Mr. Kang Zhongqian put forward a new point of view.they both believe that “Random”is an original way of life. Based on view of Mr.Xie Yangju and Mr.Kang Zhongqian, the paper recombs several representative

9、interpretations of “Random”in the history. Because of different historical background, concept of value and method of research, people always hold different views and comments on the Random. In order to outline the many

10、-sided spread of this life spirit, five typical cases are analyzed here. Guoxiang divides t the Random into two kinds: the restricted and the unrestricted. His annotation of the idea of the Random mixes the thoughts of C

11、huang-tzu, Confucianism and Huanglao Taoism. As a famous monk, Zhidun’s interpretation manifests distinct religious inclination. But at the same time, it has certain feature of Xuanxue. Therefore, he changes Chuang-tzu&#
